Alastair Whitby

Alastair is Deputy Chairman (Political) of the Epsom & Ewell Conservative Association.

Alastair has a wide range of political and campaigning experience ranging from working in Westminster for the Deputy Chief Whip, to being a Local Campaign Manager for the 2015 General Election. He has also been part of numerous local elections in the Midlands, parliamentary by-elections, and more recently, the Ruxley by-election which, despite our fantastic candidate and slick campaign, was held by the RA.

Alastair currently works as Customer Strategy Manager at Direct Line Group and has recently moved to Stoneleigh from Tamworth, Staffordshire where he worked as a Campaign Manager overseeing annual local elections as well as the 2015 General Election where the team doubled Chris Pincher’s majority - the largest ever Conservative majority in Tamworth.

Alastair hopes to be able to bring his political and campaign experience to the Association through the role of DCP as we look towards elections in Mole Valley and Reigate & Banstead in May as well as borough council elections in Epsom and Ewell in 2019.
