Frances is Chairman of the Epsom & Ewell Conservative Association.
Frances recently retired from the Metropolitan Police Service after 31 years. Her role on leaving was as Deputy Borough Commander, charged with running a London Borough.
This role included reducing crime and anti social behaviour, managing safeguarding - children, adults, offenders in the community and terrorism. It involved the leadership of operational officers through a 24/7 response, criminal investigations and neighbourhood policing. A significant part of her role involved strategic planning, meeting targets and working in partnership with the Local Authority, other statutory agencies and the non statutory sector.
Frances had responsibilities for the Borough’s budgets, keeping within these successfully and securing further funding through the Proceeds of Crime Act and negotiation with the Local Authority and securing funding and resources through other available funding streams.
Since retiring, Frances took a conscious decision to consider a more involved role in politics locally and help make a difference in area.
