County Council Candidate for Ewell Court, Auriol & Cuddington

Ewell Court, Auriol & Cuddington County Division incorporates Ewell Court, Auriol & Cuddington Borough Wards

I have lived in Epsom & Ewell for nearly a decade with my wife and our three young children. As a responsible citizen I am aware of the challenges that we face as a community. Epsom Hospital is close to my heart and I believe it deserves respect and gratitude for the numerous services it provides and sacrifices of the staff.  We need to come together in supporting and protecting our hospital from any potential threat from budget reviews.

Like all parents we want to give our children a solid future and that starts from early education. Many parents will be familiar with the stress and uncertainty associated with applying for a school place.  Schools are over-subscribed with catchment areas changing on a yearly basis. Every parent in our community should have immediate and easy access to their chosen school.

Our elderly population should be given access to the services and help they require as appropriate. The Coronavirus pandemic has made us realise that unity in a community makes a more efficient society in period of distress.

I currently work in the project management consultancy sector where I have been involved in major projects with Central & Local Governments. My technical experience would be invaluable in probing council decisions, specifically those relating to future high-rise developments and civil works.

Epsom & Ewell is our home and only our community knows what is best for our area.

I would be honoured to represent our County’s best interest.

Working together towards a healthier and safer Surrey.

Mast chaos

Friday, 12 February, 2021

Local Conservatives have criticised the Residents Association Borough Council for failing to plan properly for mobile phone masts in the area. Local campaigner George Bushati said: “People use mobile phones all the time, so masts are needed. But the Borough simply isn't planning for them.
