I love and feel privileged to live in this area. Having lived here for 20 years, I have first-hand experience with some of the most important local issues that matter to you, the residents. Nork is an important and distinct part of our borough, and it deserves to have a strong and effective voice speaking up on its behalf.
First and foremost, I am a local resident and will assist every resident, irrespective of how they voted, or if they voted at all. Being part of a wider political family means we can get things done on behalf of you. There is no point being a lone voice on the side lines; a councillor needs to be influential on your behalf—a strong team of Conservative councillors who work with others to make a difference to our local community.
I am committed, enthusiastic, and eager to get things done. It's time for a change in Nork - please allow me the chance to make a difference.
Nork is a lovely place, I don’t just want to help keep it that way but I want to make it even better.
I have previously commissioned a survey of Nork residents and have also supported residents to present a petition about parking issues.
I already acted upon your concerns, but with your support I can do much more to help you. Key issues are:
► Parking outside residents’ homes, around shops and stations was raised alongside the condition of our roads. However, I would balance this with the need to support our local businesses, working with them and the Local Authority to achieve that balance.
► Planning and sensitive development was raised repeatedly, including concern that new developments are not supported by improved or additional infrastructure.
► Protecting green spaces and parks was important to you plus reducing litter and improving our street scene.
