Having lived locally for many years now, I feel very privileged to be standing as a councillor, to represent Nork and Tattenhams ward in a county that my wife and I call home and where we have happily raised our two young children over the years. I am a chartered civil engineer by training and have in the last few years, led large teams of engineers and project professionals to deliver the design, construction and maintenance of large infrastructure systems including housings, schools, roads, railway, energy and water.
I am very excited about channelling my real-world experience of getting things done collaboratively, to positively influence the day to day experiences of locals in my ward. Part of this involves listening carefully and taking into account your views, which will help inform key decision making, policy proposals and strategic planning.
If elected as a county councillor for Nork and Tattenhams ward, I intend to make a positive difference in a number of key areas I am passionate about including social care, housing, education, transport and planning. I will however also listen very carefully to locals, to understand their specific needs and areas where they require direct representation and will work together with my fellow councillors to drive these forward to fruition so that our local community will continue to flourish and be the best place to live in the country.
One of my hobbies is meeting and getting to know new people, so I am very much looking forward to that time in the near future when I will be able to meet many of you in person and again get to do those things which before now we always took for granted.
