Push for rail services to be restored after pandemic

Monday, 8 March, 2021

Local MP Chris Grayling has spoken to the Rail Minister to seek assurances that services will be restored to previous levels when the pandemic has eased enough for normal commuting to start again. “I don’t want to see the current financial pressures that the rail industry is under lead to the scrapping of much needed improvements such as new trains as well as a loss of some of the services that we enjoyed before the pandemic. I will keep up the pressure to make sure that commuters from Epsom Downs, Banstead and Tattenham Corner do not end up losing out.”
