What’s gone wrong with our allotments?

Monday, 15 February, 2021

Local Conservative campaigner Emma Ware has asked the Residents Association-controlled Borough Council to sort out the problems allocating allotments. There is a long waiting list of people who are desperate to start cultivating an allotment in these difficult times to give themselves an extra outdoor activity. “It makes no sense to have so many people waiting while there are lots of plots standing empty and uncared for,” she says. “I have told the Council that they need to fix the problem and give a lifeline to those people without a garden.”
