It is most likely that we will not see the like of the 2021 local elections again as the Covid pandemic caused disruption. Fraught with delays and uncertainty in their runup followed by a shortened and constrained campaign period they will have a unique entry in the political history books.

Thank you to all our members and their guests who came and supported Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley at the Burford Bridge for our annual autumn dinner. It was especially lovely to have the opportunity to meet old friends and new in person after a challenging 18 months.
The local elections marked a sad moment for the Association with Tina Mountain’s time as County Councillor coming to an end. Tina decided not to stand again and instead to enjoy a well-earned retirement.
This summer brings a cautious (and hopefully irreversible) optimism that is usually signified by the herald of spring. There is no doubt that the last year and a half has tested and challenged every one of us in every role in our lives.
